Objective:
This course will focus on basic principles
of biochemistry as they apply to human metabolic systems. Students
should gain familiarity with biological molecules, how these molecules
are processed in the body and the consequences of dysfunction within these
processes.
Prerequisites:
Chemistry 721; Chemistry 604

These will not be formally graded but
material from these assignments will be considered fair
game for exams.
Exams
There will be one (1) midterm exam given
during the term worth 100 points. No make up
exam will be given.
Final
The final will be given at 10:10 am August
19. The final will be worth 100 points and is not
comprehensive for the quarter.
Letter Grades
Letter grades will be assigned based according to the following point scale:
A: 88.5% - 100%; B: 76% - 88.4%; C: 64.5 - 75.9% ; D: 52% - 64.4%; F: <52%
Incomplete Grade Policy:
According the University's incomplete grade policy, if no formal grade change occurs within one year, an "I" automatically converts to an "F". If graduation occurs within the one-year period, the incomplete grade will be converted to an "F" before graduation.
