 The YSU-S&CIF NMR Instruments

Both the Avance 400 Ultrashield and the Avance 400 are equipped with:

Double screen Windows XP workstations with the Bruker TopSpin software package for acquisition and processing of 1D, 2D, 3D and 4D NMR data, including PLOT, ICON-NMR and NMR-SIM.

Bruker Smart Magnet System (BSMSTM) shim and Digital LockTM control, including Digital Frequency Generation, Digital Quadrature Receiver, computer-controlled lock regulation system and ultra-stable, low current noise Shim Control Boards and a Bruker Orthogonal Shim System (BOSSTM-1) with low current and low heat dissipation gradient shims.

GRASPTM II GRAdient SPectroscopy accessory for the AVANCE series. Single channel GAB ultra-stable power supply, integrated into the BSMS. Single channel gradient amplifier (10 Amp) for generation of gradients with up to 50 Gauss/cm.

2H TX board for BSMS providing 2H decoupling (alternating decoupling / lock) and 2H gradient shimming.

Bruker Avance 400 Ultrashield with  Superconducting 400 MHz magnet system with 5.4 cm bore, (field at 9.4 Tesla) including helium level sensor and Ultrashield magnet with actively shielded design.

Ultrashield

Triple resonance probe optimized for 13C observation with simultaneous 1H and 19F decoupling.

Multinuclear broadband observe (BBFO) probe (5 mm sample diameter) with digital tuning covering the range from 15N to 31P and 19F with 1H decoupling.

Automatic Tuning and Matching accessory and an actively shielded z-gradient coil.

Robotic B-ACS 120 automatic sample changer, microprocessor controlled with a maximum capacity of 120 samples.

A BVT-3200 digital Variable Temperature control unit, temperature accuracy +/- 0.2 °C. Maximum temperature 200 °C. Low temperature accessory including evaporator, nitrogen dewar and transfer.

Bruker Avance 400 for inverse detection with refurbished Bruker 400 MHz magnet

400

The system is set up with a multinuclear broadband inverse (BBI) probe (5 mm sample diameter) with digital tuning covering the range from 97Mo to 31P with 1H observation, including lock, for indirect detection of less senssitive nuclei and multidimensional NMR data collection such as COSY, NOESY, ROESY and especially HSQC, HMQC and HMBC.
