Mary Guterba was an enthusiastic psychologist who was a supportive and inspirational colleague.
After her death, her colleagues wished to honor her memory by recognizing an outstanding student
each year who had also achieved the admiration and respect of the psychology faculty.

Charlie Dobson was a budding scientist who died before the full measure of his contribution could be
realized. Charlie was not only a good scientist but a man of considerable grace and charm, and thus an
inspiration to students and faculty alike. After his death, a student research award was created to honor
his legacy of student mentoring.
