DR. KEITH LEPAK
Coordinator of Peace and Conflict Studies

Dr. Lepak received his B. A. in 1976 from Carroll College, his M. A. in 1980, and his PhD in 1986, both from the University of Virginia. He is a published author with a book published through Columbia University Press entitled, Prelude and Solidarity: Poland and the Politics of the Gierek Regime. Dr. Lepak's courses deal with international government, and international relations. Dr. Lepak is also the Coordinator of Peace and Conflict Studies.

Dr. Lepak resides in Sharon, Pa. with his wife Ann.

  • Native to Green Bay, Wisconsin
  • Married with three children, residing in Sharon, Pennsylvania.
  • BA degree from Carroll College, Wisconsin in 1976.
  • Studied as undergraduate at University of Bonn, West Germany.
  • MA and PhD degrees in Foreign Affairs from University of Virginia, Charlottesville, VA 1985.
  • YSU Associate Professor, teaching Politics and International Relations, in the YSU Political Science Department since 1988.
  • Previously taught at Vanderbilt University (Nashville, TN), James Madison University (Harrisonburg, VA), and University of Virginia.
  • Research Interests
    • Eastern European transition from Communist dictatorship
      Problems of U.S. foreign policy
      Issues of contemporary democracy
