The department provides basic and advanced courses in logic and in the history and problem areas of philosophy. It also offers courses in a variety of topics in religion, emphasizing a multidisciplinary approach to the study of religious phenomena and a comparative study of religions. The department offers a bachelor of arts degree with a major in either philosophy or religious studies and a graduate certificate in bioethics.
