Center for Islamic Studies
Youngstown State University
The Center for Islamic Studies is part of the Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies and is housed in the College of Arts and Sciences. The Center is devoted to the scholarly study of Islam and to educating the community about Islamic religion, history, and culture. It was created through an agreement between the Youngstown Muslim community and Youngstown State University, and is directed by Mustansir Mir, University Professor of Islamic Studies in the Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies.
