Oral History Program--Mission Statement
- To develop and conduct oral history projects important to the historical record of the people of the state of Ohio.
- To provide a diverse, coherent, and integrated body of sources for use by scholars, students, and the interested public.
- To conduct its collecting and process ing activities in accordance with the highest standards of the Oral History Association.
- To play a role in regional and national professional oral history organizations.
- To assist community groups and organizations within the state with the collection of oral histories through training workshops and lectures.
- To play an active role in the instructional programs of the university, especially in training
graduate and undergraduate students in the field of oral history collection and research.
