Current Projects
These are some of the projects that
I am currently working on. If you have interest in any of these or have
suggestions for me, please do not hesitate to contact
me.
- For the past couple of years I have been working on a book
that high school students can use to better prepare for the American Mathematics
Competitions. I should have a complete draft of this work finished by the
end of March 2004.
- Dick Burden and I are starting the revision
for the 8rd Edition of our Numerical Analysis book. We expect to make
some substantial changes to the exercise sets and include a version of all
the algorithms in Java.
- I hope to have Web material ready by
the end of this summer for supplemental presentations in History of Mathematics.
These supplements will be written in TeX and posted in PDF form.
- Developing new material for the
AMC8, AMC10, and AMC12 exams for the American Mathematics Competitions.
- Creating a Web-based course in TeX
for beginning students in mathematics so that they can begin using this professional
software for writing and presentations early in their career.
