Welcome to the Department of English!
The Department of English at Youngstown State University offers three Bachelor of Arts degree programs: English, Professional Writing and Editing (PWE), and Journalism.
The department offers minors in creative writing, English studies, journalism, linguistics, professional writing and editing, and TESOL; it also advises students seeking teaching licensure in Integrated Language Arts and in Middle Childhood Language Arts.
In addition, students may wish to pursue an Individualized Curriculum Program in Web Communications, coordinated by the Departments of English and Computer and Information Systems (CIS).
