Practice with 1H NMR spectra
|
The
following exercises are to help you become familiar with predicting the
proton NMR spectra of simple organic molecules. For each example you
should find the number of signals you expect, where they should show on
the scale (chemical shift), and what shape they should be (splitting
patterns). Use the spectroscopy sheet to become familiar with types of
protons and where they show on the spectra. Click on a link below and
the compound will appear, then each subsequent mouse click will give
the number of signals, the spectrum, and the signal assignments.
So far I can only get this to work in Internet Explorer and clicking on
the links below should open up a PowerPoint slide in your browser. Once
you have finished the example, click the "back" button in the browser
to come back to this page.
