The Geology
Club
organized a trip to Laurel Caverns.
Twenty
nine people went spelunking,
and all came back alive Flashlights
were needed, as the cave was in a natural
state, except for the entrance.
Many people
became
quite
dirty
after
crawling
through tight spots.
Others
took the
high-road.

were frequently seen hanging from the
ceiling.
Mill Creek Park, Mahoning County,

Spring 1999
1. Geolab
went to Mill Creek Park to look at fluvial-deltaic sandstones. These
clastic
Pennsylvanian rocks
are well exposed along Mill
Creek, a tributary to the Mahoning River. Although shy
at first, these hard-core geology students decided to take
a closer look!
