American Studies explores central themes and issues in American life using materials and approaches from literature, art, pop culture, history, and ideas about culture and social institutions that come from sociology, political science, geography, and other fields. You'll also learn strategies for working with materials and methods of different kinds. American diversity, work, politics, and popular culture are central topics in most of our courses.
